visual identity and packaging design



Logo and Packaging design for a hypothetically created brief :
Worked with 3 product designers who designed the packaging. i have done the logo and packaging grphics for it.

Ethnic - Earthy - Celebrations

-An Indian product with traditional symbolism to be packaged and portray to an international and local audience,
-Celebrating all that we are as a nation, as a community,as a culture.
-Terracotta diya’s have a strong presence in Indian culture.
Transcending generations and trends, diya’s are few of the traditional symbols, still relevant in today’s context.
-Dispensing darkness by lighting a diya in the dusk at the ‘tulsi katta’ or ‘choula’ is an everyday affair in most Indian homes.
-The ambience of celebration is never complete without lighting a few diyas.
-Export to international market (largely constituted by NRI’s) is ever growing with people discovering the warm comfort in ‘their roots’. Discovered as an ideal ‘Corporate gift’, it is viable economically, has strong connections with good occassions and happy festive times.
-In the gift sector, it has multiple oppurtunities; during festive times, celebrations and as return gifts.
-The beauty and the romance of the gentle curves defining a form, which is strong and feminine, proud to have stood the test of time.
